Turunç
To the other side of Içmeler lies the much quieter resort of Turunç. You can visit either by sea or by road to swim in the sheltered bay and have a taste of a much more traditional Turkish resort. places to see in icmeler

Blue Cruise

This area is famous for its beautiful coastline with secluded coves, romantic caves and tiny islands dotted along the shore. A day trip on a traditional Turkish ‘gulet’ is a must, as is a visit to the beautiful Cleopatra’s Island, with its fine sand. It is said that Marc Antony had the sand imported especially from Egypt to impress his queen.

Marmaris
Içmeler is only a 30 minute dolmus ride from the much larger resort of Marmaris. It is well worth making the trip either for a livelier night out in Marmaris’ legendary bar street, or simply to stock up on bargains before heading home. The streets of the old town are a maze of stalls selling everything imaginable and as long as you remember to haggle you should get some great deals.
